In $16$ throws of a die getting an even number is considered a success. Then the variance of the successes is

\[\begin{array}{1 1}(1)4&(2)6\\(3)2&(4)256\end{array}\]

Getting an even number is considered a success
Probability success $p= \large\frac{3}{6} =\frac{1}{2}$
$q= 1-p=1- \large\frac{1}{2}$
$\qquad=\large\frac{1}{2}$
$n=16$
$S.D=\sqrt {npq}$
Variance $=S.D^2$
$\qquad= npq$
$\qquad= 16 \times \large\frac{1}{2} \times \frac{1}{2}$
$\qquad=4$
Hence 1 is the correct answer.
