If $n(A\times B)=8, $ then how many possible values are there for $n(A)?$

(A) 1

(B) 2

(C) 3

(D) 4

Toolbox:
  • $n(A\times B)=n(A).n(B)$
$8=1\times 8,\:\:2\times 4,\:\:4\times 2,\:\:8\times 1$
$\Rightarrow n(A)=1,2,4 \:or\:8$
There are 4 possible values of $n(A)$
