A plane is flying horizontally at an attitude of 490 m with a velocity of 80 m/s. A bomb is dropped from it. After how much time does the bomb reach the ground ?

$Time\; of\; descent=\sqrt {\large\frac{2h}{g}}$
$\qquad=\sqrt {\large\frac{2 \times 490}{9.8}}$
$\qquad=\sqrt {100}$
$\qquad=10 s$
Hence d is the correct answer.
