The displacement of a body is given to be proportional to the cube of time elapsed. The magnitude of acceleration of the body is

a)increasing with time

b)decreasing with time

c)constant but not zero

d)zero

1 Answer

$s\; \alpha\; t^3$
$v=\large\frac{ds}{dt}$
$\quad=3t^2$
$a=\large\frac{dv}{dt}$
$\quad=6t$
$a \;\alpha\; t$
Hence a is the correct answer.
