Toolbox:
  • $\sqrt {i}=\pm\large\frac{1+i}{\sqrt 2}$
  • $\sqrt {-i}=\pm\large\frac{1-i}{\sqrt 2}$
$\sqrt i+\sqrt {-i}=\large\frac{1+i}{\sqrt 2}+\frac{1-i}{\sqrt 2}$
$\large\frac{2}{\sqrt 2}$$=\sqrt 2$
