A particle moves in a straight line with constant acceleration under constant force F. Select the correct alternatives.

a) Power developed by this force varies parabolically with time b) Power developed by this force varies parabolically with displacement c) Power developed by this force varies elliptically with time d) Power developed by this force varies elliptically with displacement

1 Answer

In uniform acceleration motion
$v=u+at$
$v^2=u^2+2as$
$v=\sqrt {u^2+2as}$
Power $=F.v=F(u+at)$
also $P=F\sqrt {u^2+2as}$
Power varies linearly with time and parabolically with displacement
Hence b is the correct answer.
