Solution :
Reaction $C_2H_6 + 3 \frac{1}{2} O_2 \to 2CO_2 + 3H_2O$
30 gms of ethane = 1 mole = 3 moles of $H_2O$
1 mole of $H_2O= 18\;gm \;of \;H_2O$
3 mole of $H_2O= 18 \times 3 =54\;gms\;of\;water$
Therefore 8 gms ethane produced =14.4 gms
$8 \times \frac{54}{30}=14.4\;gms$
