  • A scalar quantity has only magnitude.
  • A vector quantity has both magnitude and direction.
Step 1:
We are asked to classify time period as a vector or a scalar quantity.
Clearly time period has only magnitude and does not have direction.
Step 2:
Hence it is a scalar quantity.
