If $\sin\theta+cosec\theta=2$ then $\sin^2\theta+cosec^2\theta$ is equal to

$(a)\;1\qquad(b)\;4\qquad(c)\;2\qquad(d)\;None\;of\;these$

Since $\sec\theta\in (-\infty,-1)\cup [1,\infty]$
$\therefore \sec\theta\neq \large\frac{1}{2}$
Hence (d) is the correct option.
