A gas has a vapour density 11.2. The volume occupied by 1g of the gas at NTP is

$(a)\;1L\qquad(b)\;11.2L\qquad(c)\;22.4L\qquad(d)\;4L$

1 Answer

Molar mass of the gas =$2 \times V.D =2\times 11.2 =22.4g$
Volume of 1g of the compound at STP =$\large\frac{22.4}{22.4} =1L$
Hence (a) is the correct answer.
