# If a matrix has 28 elements, what are the possible orders it can have?

$\begin{array}{1 1}(14,2),(2,14),(4,7),(7,4) \\ (1,28),(28,1),(14,2),(2,14),(4,7)\\ (1,28),(28,1),(14,2),(2,14),(4,7),(7,4) \\ All \;the\;above \end{array}$

Toolbox:
• If a matrix is of order $m\times n$.So the elements of the matrix is $m\times n$.
• Hence we have to find all possible orders of a matrix with 28 elements.
Find all possible ordered pair of natural numbers whose product is 28.
All possible ordered pairs are
$\Rightarrow$ (1,28),(28,1),(14,2),(2,14),(4,7),(7,4)
Hence the possible orders are (1,28),(28,1),(14,2),(2,14),(4,7),(7,4).
