Four equal and parallel forces are acting on a rod at distances of 20 cm, 40 cm, and80cm respectively , from one end of rod. Under the influence of these forces, the rod is

$\begin{array} \text{a) is \;at\; rest} \\ \text{ b) experiences a torque} \\ \text{c) experiences a linear motion} \\\text{ d) experience a torque and also a linear motion.} \end{array}$

Ma'am I have a doubt , is the rod in translational equilibrium too since the next external force is 0 ?

Clockwise torques: about end 0
$Z_c= 20F+60 F=80F$
$Z_A= 40F+80F=120F$
(anti clock wise)
Since $Z_c \neq Z_A$
