# A body of mass m and radius r is rotated with angular velocity w as shown. and then kept on a surface that has sufficient friction. then the body will move

$(a)\;backward\;first\;and\;then\;move\;forward\qquad(b)\;forward\;first\;and\;then\;move\;backword\qquad(c)\;will\;always\;move\;forward\qquad(d)\;None\;of\;these$

Since point of contact move back ward rel. to the surface, friction acts in the forward direction, increasing its linear velocity in forward direction and producing a torque anticlockwise thereby reducing its angular velocity till rolling sets in .
Hence the body will always move forward.
