When a damped spring mass system is forced into oscillations at different frequencies it resonates (amplitude increases and peaks when compared to input amplitude) at its damped natural frequency. For such systems the resonance of acceleration is more when

As the damping reduces the oscillation tend not to die.
When the damping is zero the spring mass system pumps in every back to the external forcing sources that the combined system resonate at highest amplitude.
When certain damping is introduced the energy due to the resonance is dissipated away and thus the amplitude of resonance reduces.
Hence (B) is the correct answer.
