As the damping reduces the oscillation tend not to die.
When the damping is zero the spring mass system pumps in every back to the external forcing sources that the combined system resonate at highest amplitude.
When certain damping is introduced the energy due to the resonance is dissipated away and thus the amplitude of resonance reduces.
Hence (B) is the correct answer.
