Which electrolyte can be used for salt bridge between $Ag^+,Pb^{+2},Hg^{+2},Cu^{+},Te^+$ ions

$\begin{array}{1 1}(a)\;KCl\\(b)\;SrSO_4\\(c)\;KNO_3\\(d)\;PbSO_4\end{array}$

1 Answer

The electrolyte in salt bridge should be non reactive.
Generally we take $Kcl$ but $Kcl,srso_4,pbso_4$ forms precipitate with given ions whereas all $N0_5$ are soluble in water. So we take $KNO_3$ as electrolyte in salt bridge.
Hence c is the correct answer
