What is the order of reaction of an artificial radioactive decay

$\begin{array}{1 1}(a)\;0&(b)\;1\\(c)\;2&(d)\;3\end{array}$

1 Answer

Answer: 1st order reaction.
Since the decay rate is dependent upon the number of radioactive atoms, in terms of chemical kinetics, one can say that radioactive decay is a first order reaction process
Even though radioactive decay is a first order reaction, where the rate of the reaction depends upon the concentration of one reactant (r = k [A][B] = k [A}) , it is not affected by factors that alter a typical rate reaction
