Consider the following reaction:- <p> Step (i): $H_2O_2+I^-\rightarrow H_2O+IO^-$, </p> <p> Step (ii): $H_2O_2+IO^-\rightarrow H_2O+O_2+I^-$, </p> then reaction intermediate will be

$\begin{array}{1 1}(a)\;I^-&(b)\;H_2O_2\\(c)\;H_2O&(d)\;IO^-\end{array}$

Reaction intermediate is a compound which formed in between reaction and consumed there after and doesn't appear in with products.So here $IO^-$ is reaction intermediate.
Hence (d) is the correct answer.
