For chemical reaction shown below.Which of following statements can be rightly assumed?

$2H_2S(g)+O_2(g)\rightarrow 2S(s)+2H_2O(l)$

$\begin{array}{1 1}(a)\;\text{The reaction is third-order overall}\\(b)\;\text{The rate law is rate= }K[H_2S]^2[O_2]\\(c)\;\text{The reaction is second-order overall}\\(d)\;\text{The rate law cannot be determined from information given}\end{array}$

1 Answer

Since we don't know anything whether reaction is elementary or complex so it can't be necessarily third-order.So (d) is the correct answer.
