The number of points at which the function $f(x)=\large\frac{1}{\log|x|}$ is discontinuous is

$(a)\;1\qquad(b)\;2\qquad(c)\;3\qquad(d)\;4$

$f(x)$ is not defined at $x=0,-1,1$ and at all other points $f(x)$ is continuous .So the points of discontinuity are 3.
Hence (c) is the correct answer.
