# A point source of light is taken away from the experimental setup of photoelectric effect, then which is the most appropriate statement?

$\begin{array}{1 1} \text{(a) Saturation photocurrent remains same, while stopping potential increases.} \\ \text{(b) Saturation photocurrent and stopping potential both decrease.} \\ \text{(c) Saturation photocurrent decreases while stopping potential remains same.}\\ \text{(d) Saturation photocurrent decreases and stopping potential increases.} \end{array}$
Can you answer this question?

Ans (c)
As the source of light is taken away, the intensity of light at the location
of experiment setup decreases.
Photocurrent ~ Intensity
So, photocurrent decreases.
Now, $V_{\circ} = hc/\lambda_{\circ}e – \phi/e$ which is independent of intensity.
