n identical condensers are joined in series and are charged to potential v. Now they are seperated and joined in parallel. Total energy and potential difference of combination will be :

(A) Energy and potential difference remains same.

(B) Energy remains same and potential difference is $nv$.

(C) Energy remains same and potential difference is $\large\frac{v}{n}$

(D)Energy increases n times and potential difference is $\large\frac{v}{n}$

By energy conservation
$U_{\large series}=U_{\large parallel}$
$\large\frac{1}{2} \bigg(\frac{c}{n}\bigg) v^2 =\large\frac{1}{2}$$ (nc)V^2$
$\large\frac{v}{n}$$=V$
So energy remains same and potential difference is $\large\frac{v}{n}$
Hence c is the correct answer.
