(C) Net potential difference across them equals the half of sum of individual potential difference

(D) Net potential difference across them is different from the sum of individual initial potential difference

Common potential $V= \large\frac{C_1 V_1 +C_2 V_2}{C_1+C_2}$
When $ C_1=C_2=C$
$V= \large\frac{V_1 +V_2}{2}$
Hence C is the correct answer.
