A circular ring of radius R has charge Q distributed uniformly on it. If a space of radius R, has its centre lying on boundary of the ring, then flux coming out of sphere will be :

$(A)\;zero \\ (B)\;\frac{Q}{\in_0} \\ (C)\; \frac{Q}{3 \in_0} \\ (D)\;\frac{Q}{4 \in _0} $

$\large\frac{1}{3}$ rd part of ring is enclosed by the sphere.
So charge enclosed by sphere $= \large\frac{Q}{3}$
$=> \phi =\large\frac{Q}{3 \in _0}$
Hence C is the correct answer.
