Bottom of a water tank is silvered A point object (dust particle) is at P inside the liquid at a height of 2 m from the base. An observer seeing directly from above sees both the image and the object What is the apparent distance between the object and image $(\mu_0 =\large\frac{4}{3} ) $

The apparent distance of the mirror from the object at P as seen by the observer is
$h'= \large\frac{h}{\mu_w}$
$\quad= \large\frac{2}{4/3}$
$\quad= \large\frac{3}{2}$
$\quad= 1.5 \;m$
The image is formed at $1.5 m $ behind mirror.
$\therefore$ Distance between object and image $= 2 \times 1.5$
$\qquad= 3 m$
Hence a is the correct answer.
