Answer : $\;{n-1+\frac{1}{2^n}}$
Explanation : $t_{r}=1-\frac{1}{2^r}$
$\sum_{r=1}^n\;(1-\frac{1}{2^r})=n-\frac{(1/2)\;(1-\frac{1}{2^n})}{1-\frac{1}{2}}$
$=n-1+\frac{1}{2^n}.$
