If the numbers $a, b, c, d, e$ are in AP, the value of $a-4b+6c-4d+e$ is

Answer : (d) 0
Explanation : $a+e=2c$
$b+d=2c$
$=a-4b+6c-4d+e$
$=2c-4\;(2c)+6c$
$=0.$
