Three different gases, one monoatomic, one diatomic and one triatomic are expanded adiabatically under similar conditions, i.e., their final and initial conditions are the same. The least amount of work is done in the case of which gas?

The graph for the three gases expanding adiabatically is shown above.
Since the slope depends on the value of $\gamma$, the triatomic gas has the least slope.
Hence the work done is the most in the case of triatomic gas, followed by diatomic and then monoatomic.
