In Young's double slit experiment if width of slit is made 3 folds, the fringe width becomes

$(a)\;\frac{1}{3}\;times \\ (b)\;2\;times \\ (c)\;\frac{2}{3}\;times \\ (d)\;2\;times $

$\beta= \large\frac{D \lambda}{d}$
if d is made 3 times
$\beta$ becomes $\large\frac{1}{3}$ times
Hence a is the correct answer.
