The median of the variables \[\] $x+4, x-\large\frac{7}{2},$$ x-\large\frac{5}{2},$$4 x-3, x-2$ \[\] $ x+\large\frac{1}{2}, x-\large\frac{1}{2}$$, x+5\: \: x > 0 $ is

 

$\begin {array} {1 1} (A)\;x-3 & \quad (B)\;x-2 \\ (C)\;x+\large\frac{5}{4} & \quad (D)\;  x-\large\frac{5}{4}\end {array}$

Arrange the values in ascending order of magnitude.
$ x-\large\frac{7}{2}, $ $x-3, x-\large\frac{5}{2},$ $x-2, x-\large\frac{1}{2}, x+\large\frac{1}{2}, $ $ x+4, x+5$
Median = $ \large\frac{1}{2} $ $ \{ (x-2)+(x-\large\frac{1}{2} \}$
$ = x-\large\frac{5}{4}$
Ans : (D)
