What is reading in ammeter $A_1$ and $A_2$ in given circuit.

$(a)\;0A,0A \\ (b)\;0.2 A,0A \\ (c)\;0A,0.2A \\ (d)\;0.2A,0.2 A $

1 Answer

Diode 1 $D_1$ is in reverse bias and so offers infinite resistance .
Hence reading in $A_1$ is 0.
The Diode 2 is $D_2$ is in forward bias and offers 0 resistance .
$\therefore $ current in $A_2=\large\frac{1V}{5 \Omega}$$= 0.2 \;A$
Hence c is the correct answer.
