In a common emitter transistor the current gain is 80. What is change in collector current , when change in base current is $250 \mu A$

$(a)\;2 \times 10^{-2} A \\ (b)\;170 \mu A \\ (c)\;330\; \mu A \\ (d)\;3.15 \mu A $

1 Answer

Current given $=\beta =\large\frac{\Delta i_c}{\Delta i_b}$
=> $ \Delta i_c =\beta \times \Delta _{ib}$
$\qquad = 80 \times 250 \mu A$
$\qquad= 2 \times 10^{-2} A$
Hence a is the correct answer.
