If 25% of item are less than 10 and 25% are more than 40, then coefficient of quartile deviation is

$\begin {array} {1 1} (A)\;\large\frac{4}{5} & \quad (B)\;\large\frac{5}{3} \\ (C)\;\large\frac{1}{3} & \quad (D)\;\large\frac{3}{5} \end {array}$

Coefficient of quartile deviation = $ \large\frac{Q_3-Q_1}{Q_3+Q_1}$
$ \large\frac{40-10}{40+10}$
$ = \large\frac{30}{50}$
$ \large\frac{3}{5}$
