The radius of (Atomic number of La = 57) is 1.06 A. Which one of the following given values will be closest to the radius of Lu$^{3+}$? Note: Atomic radius of Lu = 71.

Answer: 0.85 A
The ionic radii of Ln$^{3+}$ reduces from La$^{3+}$ to Lu$^{3+}$ due to Lanthanide Contraction.
Therefore the lowest value here must be the one closest ionic radii of Lu$^{3+} \rightarrow$ 0.85 A.
