Three equal charges having charge q are placed on the three corners of a regular right angled triangle . Find the force on B due to A & C

Answer : (b) $\;\large\frac{k\;q^2}{a^2}\;(-\hat{i}-\hat{j})$
Explanation : $Force\;on\;B = F\;due\;to\;A + F\;due\;to\;C $
$=\large\frac{k\;q^2}{a^2}\;(-\hat{j})+\large\frac{k\;q^2}{a^2}\;(-\hat{i})$
$=\large\frac{k\;q^2}{a^2}\;(-\hat{i}+-\hat{j})\;.$
