If a transition-metal compound absorbs violet radiation of the visible region, its colour would be?

Answer: Yellow-Green
In transition metals, one of the colours of the visible spectrum is absorbed and the transition metal ion gets the complementary colour.
In this case if violet is absorbed, its complementary colour is Yellow-green.
