The value of covariance of two variable $x$ and $y$ is $- \large\frac{148}{3}$ variance of $x$ is $ \large\frac{272}{3}$ and variance of $y$ is $ \large\frac{131}{3}$. Then coefficient of correlation is

Since covariance is negative, correlation coefficient has to be negative.
