Find the distance between two points (5,6) & (10,12)?

$(a)\;\sqrt{51}\qquad(b)\;\sqrt{61}\qquad(c)\;\sqrt{41}\qquad(d)\;\sqrt{31}$

Distance =$\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}$
$\therefore$ distance =$\sqrt{(10-5)^2+(12-6)^2}$
$\Rightarrow \sqrt{25+36}$
$\Rightarrow \sqrt{61}$
Hence (b) is the correct answer.
