Answer : (a) $\;4 \sqrt{2}\;\large\frac{k\;q}{a^2}$
Explanation :
$|E_{net}|=\sqrt{(2E)^2+(2E)^2}$
$=2 \sqrt{2} E$
$=2 \sqrt{2}\;\large\frac{k\;q}{(\large\frac{a}{\sqrt{2}})^2}$
$=4 \sqrt{2}\;\large\frac{k\;q}{a^2}\;.$
