The time constant for the above circuit is $RC = 5sec.$
The fraction of charge deposited on a capacitor in the first time constant is
$ (1 – \large\frac{1}{e}) $ $= 0.63 > 0.5$
Hence, more than half the charge is deposited in the first time constant.
