A uniform wire has resistance $R$. It is cut into n equal parts and all of them are connected in parallel to each other. The resistance of the combination is:

$\begin {array} {1 1} (A)\;\large\frac{R}{n} & \quad (B)\;\large\frac{R}{n^2} \\ (C)\;R & \quad (D)\;None\: of \: these \end {array}$

Resistance of each piece is $\large\frac{R}{n}$
$n$ such pieces are connected in parallel, hence,
the effective resistance is $\large\frac{R}{n^2}$
