Find the general equation of rectangular hyperbola?

$\begin{array}{1 1}(a)\;x^2+y^2=a^2\\(b)\;y^2-x^2=a^2\\(c)\;x^2-y^2=a^2\\(d)\;2x^2+y^2=a^2\end{array}$

Equation of hyperbola is $\large\frac{x^2}{a^2}-\frac{y^2}{b^2}$$=1$
Now if a=b the equation becomes
This equation is known as general equation of rectangular hyperbola.
Hence (c) is the correct answer.
