$\begin {array} {1 1} (A)\;2\Omega & \quad (B)\;4\Omega \\ (C)\;5\Omega & \quad (D)\;6\Omega \end {array}$

Power dissipated per unit time is $ \large\frac{V^2}{R}$
Calculating this value for all the resistors give the answer.
