The student is advised to use either nodal method or KVL to first simplify the circuit.
Taking the lower terminal of the battery to be grounded, the potential at the two points
across the capacitor is $3V \: and \: 1V \Rightarrow P.D. = 2V \Rightarrow charge = C V= 10\mu C$
