How much $CaCO_3$ is present in 100ml of 1000ppm $CaCO_3$ solution?

Answer: 100 mg.
Mass by volume percentage and parts per million are both and expression of concentration of a solution.
We are given ppm $= 1000\;ppm$ and Volume $= 100\;mL$
$\Rightarrow ppm = 1000 = \large\frac{\text{Mass}}{\text{volume}}$$ = \large\frac{\text{Mass}}{100\; mL}$
$\therefore \text{Mass} =100\;mg$
