At same temperature two bulbs A and B of equal capacity are filled with He and $SO_2$ respectively. If the pressure in two bulbs is same. Calculate the ratio of rms speed for them.

$(a)\;2\qquad(b)\;4\qquad(c)\;6\qquad(d)\;8$$

At same temperature
$U_{rms} of He = \sqrt{\large\frac{3RT}{M}}=\sqrt{\large\frac{3RT}{4}}$
$U_{rms} of SO_2 = \sqrt{\large\frac{3RT}{M}} = \sqrt{\large\frac{3RT}{64}}$
$\therefore \large\frac{U_{rms} of He}{U_{rms} of SO_2} = 4$
Hence answer is (b)
