The compound which is not isomeric with diethyl ether is

(a)n-propyl methyl ether (b) butan -1-ol (c)2-methylpropan-2-ol (d)butanone

1 Answer

Dierthylether is $C_4H_{10}O(C_2H_5-O-C_2H_5)$.
n- propyl methyl ether $(CH_3-CH_2-CH_2-O-CH_3).$
$butan -1-ol(CH_3-CH_2-CH_2-CH_2OH)$
These are isomeric with diethyl ether.
The molecular formula of butanone is different . it is $C_4H_8O.$
So these two are not isometers
Hence d is the correct answer.
