Which of the following is expected to have the lowest boiling point?

$\begin{array}{1 1}(a)\;CH_3(CH_2)_3-OH&(b)\;C_2H_5-O-C_2H_5\\(c)\;CH_3(CH_2)_3-CH_3&(d)\;CH_3(CH_2)_3-C-OH\end{array}$

The C-O bonds on ethers are polar and thus ethers have a net dipole moment. The weak polarity of ethers do not appreciably affect their boiling points which are comparable to those of the alkanes. But are much lower than the boiling points of alcohols is due to the presence of hydrogen bonding in alcohols, however ethers have low boiling points.
Hence (b) is the correct answer.
