Answer : (b) $\;10.24 MeV$
Explanation :
Since $\;4(_{2}He^{4})=_{8}O^{16}$
So mass defect is
$\bigtriangleup m={4(4.0026)-15.994} amu=0.011amu$
Energy released per oxygen nuclei
$=10.24 MeV\;.$
