An enantiometrically pure acid is treated with racemix mixture of an alcohol having carbon. The ester formed will be :

(a) Optically active mixture (b)Pure enantiomer (c)Meso compound (d) Racemic mixture

The optically active acid will react with (+) and (-) forms of alcohol present in racemic mixture to form two stereoisomeric esters each one of which contains two different chiral c-atoms and hence are optically active (ie) an optically active mixture is produced.
Hence a is the correct answer.
