A radioactive nucleus is being produced at a constant rate x per second . If decay constant is K . If $\;N_{0}\;$ are no . of nuclei at time t=0 , then maximum no . of nuclei possible are :

$(a)\;xK\qquad(b)\;\large\frac{x}{K}\qquad(c)\;x^2K\qquad(d)\;\large\frac{K}{x}$

Answer : (b) $\;\large\frac{x}{K}$
Explanation :
Maximum no.of nuclei will be present when rate of decay = rate of formation
$KN=x \qquad \; N=\large\frac{x}{K}\;.$
